We enjoyed the park and will probably come back some time to do more hiking and sightseeing. Kids enjoyed it and loved their models from the gift shop. We ended the day with a nice cool down at the museum that had fairly in-depth exhibits and a modest gift shop. It's free but they accept donations of cash and fruits/food for the animals. The building to the south houses the Vietnam era. Very informative, highly recommended. Will come again. If you have any interest in a subject like this, then it's fascinating. There were plenty of picnic tables at the pavilion, and plenty of trash receptacles. The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable and friendly. The direct drive from Atlanta to Savannah is 249 mi (401 km), and should have a drive time of 3 hrs 42 mins in normal traffic. While the finished exhibits here are few, the ones they have are free and you can walk around the hangers. Super fun family atmosphere overall! Park has the best views of waterfall and lake. I love how natural their habitats are kept so it isn't too artificial for them (unlike some other places I've been to). This will without a doubt be a yearly event our family will hope to never miss! We have 2, 4 and 7 year old boys and there was something for everyone. We didnt shop but there is a large gift store.

The young girl was friendly and said they would make new ones. Lots of fun and things to do relatively cheap. The band's name is Vocal Trash and they are amazing! Theres a parking area immediately to the right as you enter and you can start your PATH journey there. So we were excited to try Lanes out since it was on a recommendation from a local. We ate a picnic lunch out front where there are several tables set about under the trees. The only thing that could make it better is to have more bathrooms. The staff was friendly. The staff, maintenance, manager all were so friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful and our guide was so knowledgeable. See photos. We did a four mile hike along a gorgeous falls and river.
Beautiful campground, trails,host was very helpful and friendly. It included a little fenced area, with a fire pit and a picnic table. I had to ask an employee if they were they correct size, he said definitely not. Sometimes twice.
The staff is extremely knowledgeable and ready to answer your questions about the house and the people who owned it. But, it is doable if you take your time and are very, very careful. Ocmulgee National Monument has large Native American earthen mounds from around 1000 A.D., and its museum displays artifacts spanning thousands of years. Some displays are really sad as they contain the uniform, firearm, and spent casings of great American soldiers who died in the line of duty trying to save other members of their unit. At least they are safe. As soon as you are on the land you can feel it is blessing from God. Sizable roadside store & cafe featuring fresh peaches & pecans, plus buffet-style Southern fare. It used hydro power to work and grind the corn. She knows her trivia and made everything so interesting and fun. The volunteers and workers here are also so kind and welcoming. Initially small heaps of rocks show the trail but at some point they simply disappeared so we got lost in the woods thank heaven we had the AllTrails app to navigate, otherwise wed still be there. The lake with all the trees were very pretty as well. A very good place to visit if you'd like a glimpse into the past in a very clean and safe setting. We all had such an awesome time during the annual Native American festival; the performances, the variety of booths with items to peruse and purchase, the hands-on learning stations that taught my d.d and I how to weave baskets, make cornhusk dolls and turquoise-beaded leather bracelets, as well as the many trails, and breathtaking views of the mounds was beyond what I expected. I almost missed it thinking it was closed down. The Tubman Museums exhibits on African-American art, history and culture include a huge mural and the Inventors Gallery. It could be a simple smile, its genuine and welcoming. Restaurant food is decent, good enough for a quick meal but nothing spectacular. Oh so good! Tanger Outlets opened in the spring of 2015 and has been attracting hundreds every week since. Overall, it is a very nice museum and a must-see for any aviation enthusiast or American history buff. That area was closed during our visit, but there was still plenty to see. So glad we tried this place. Attached to the park is beautiful trail around 2 miles long. The main buildings has a good short film to introduce you, very clean bathrooms and small gift shop. It has an outdoor Wetland Reserve with its own Waterfowl Pond, a beautiful water brook, and many other outdoor walking trails to see wildlife. Much better food just about anywhere. We encourage all history lovers to come out and tour this historic home. It's a nice park and a nice path. It was a nice sunny day there and it was amazing! I dont know why there are no clear signs how to get off the mountain on the other side. Most the other activities included in admission price. Saw announcement about Strawberry picking opening day. We were very disappointed with all our food!

This facility is available for rental in order to support the museum, so the events management staff is very dedicated to ensuring your day progresses Open seven days a week, the National Museum for the Mighty Eighth Air Force is amazing. You really need two days to enjoy everything. There is no cost to the museum and there are volunteers inside each of the buildings. This tour was amazing! An enthusiastic young lady explained some of the exhibits. The band encourages recycling and reusing materials to help save the planet. Ive never seen such a long line move so fast. On January 28, 1942, fifty-three days after the infamous attack on Pearl Harbor, the 8th Air Force was officially activated in the National Guard Armory on Bull Street in Savannah, Georgia. Its vintage set up will also be of interest to anyone who enjoys history however. The animals all seem healthy and not depressed like some zoos. The animals look so healthy and they have SO much space to roam around, play and enjoy themselves. 3 minutes off the main route, 35% of way to Savannah. Prices for the food and drinks were great and served at a decent price. This was one of the cleanest, best kept sanctuaries I've ever been to (including other sanctuaries, zoos, etc). It has slide races a dark tunnel slide and 2 person slide and plenty of young kid water features. This is a fun venue for casual gatherings. The courtyard in the middle of the building was being used to launch rockets on the day I visited. We had the most amazing time!! Free U.S. Air Force museum featuring classic planes, historic displays & a flight simulator. She toughed it out in the rain with us, laughed with us and made our tour a great experience. Each were clean and nearly decorated. Nice staff and an amazing collection of used-on-set items. Had many things to do while you site a rest or for kids to do while you shop. Playground for the kids, a place to buy food or walk around the shop for trinkets. Check them out if you have a chance. We took the two hour walking tour and it was amazing!
One of the best tours Ive been on! The 1880's mill looked glamorous with the water and the 15 Mile Creek. Everyone seemed to enjoy all the rocking chairs outside. Especially with COVID and the financial backlash from that, this place deserves all the generosity possible. However, the bears, lion, tiger, baboon that we were hoping to see were distant or hiding; that's okay. Go check it out for yourself! The building has a short film and displays. The center does an excellent job of fulfilling its mission by educating on the environment. Our guide, Kiersten, was fabulous. My 8 yr old said mama please make sure you give them 10 stars!! This place is a great stop for any aviation or military buff. Nice variety of stores, always see a police presence, only downside is everything closes too early. I did the special behind-the-scenes tour and it was awesome! By the time you get there, you have time for maybe 2 stores, most of them close at 8pm. The 30 minute "Birds of Prey" program was a great learning experience and led by two very smart young ladies who represent GA Southern so well. Went Sunday Apr 2 and the kids had a great time on the playground and picking fruit. There are Rose of Sharon and Trumpet Vines in bloom by the Abbey. An amazing man. The staff in there was really nice and helpful while buying a parking pass. The staff was phenomenal! There are some other indoor habitats as well. Excellent small museum. Got to look behind every door and see all the "secret" places. Wow who knew that sweet onion had such history! You might get lucky and see and C5 fly overhead, as well. Driving from Atlanta to Savannah should take you 3 hrs 42 mins in normal traffic. If you love onions then this is a must see!
