It is my understanding that this is due to the integration not yet supporting these new features in HA as per this link, hence this issue. connectedOptimizers: 16. 7 0 obj

Similar setup here so I'll check as well. And add state_class=STATE_CLASS_MEASUREMENT to the Imported Power and Exported Power at lines 147 and 175 in https://github.com/home-assistant/core/blob/dev/homeassistant/components/solaredge/const.py. Im not going to explain how you should configure as its explained in HA documentation.
Please try kWh (k lower case, W upper case and h lower case), maybe it's case sensitive.
The non-battery part of the Energy tab is fine (using SolarEdge for the solar config and a rainforest.cloud Eagle-200 for grid to/from power). I believe I have two properly configured sensors for the battery per the above, and like @robi59italy and @philskents, can only get one of the sensors to be available on the pull-down. You can of course use wi-fi too if you wish, but ethernet will be more reliable and cause less congestion on your network which is something you should be aware of before continuing. Now it works, You can include or exclude entities which are recorded,
Finally I got my SolarEdge monitoring data in Home Assistant and it gets updated every 5 seconds compared to every 5 or 15 minute interval with the cloud account. On Tue, Sep 7, 2021, 10:34 terminet85 ***@***.

But Im looking at what I can expose for some e-ink displays I have around my house regarding energy usage and the panels.
All of the SolarEdge HD-Wave inverters will work in a similar way regardless of which size model you have, and connecting them to Home Assistant is super easy. Since the latest update of the modbus integration, I haven't faced any wrong statistic again ;). ________________________________________________________ If your inverter supports wifi then you can flip the power switch to left (P position) for two seconds to enable access point. With the last update, they have also fixed an issue with getting zeros from the sensor (which has also caused the wrong sums)
I noticed that you stated elsewhere that this integration is working (in the comments of the release post) but I only see lifetime energy and not any of the other statistics that are exposed to me via the SE monitoring API.
sadly - the MODBUS interface only works if you have a cabled LAN connection to the inverter. These cookies do not store any personal information. You can ask your installer to enable this feature during commissioning, or you can do it yourself. The integration does appear to support exported energy, so perhaps with a battery, etc it will work. And thats it, quite a simple way to get live solar generation data into Home Assistant, requiring no jumps to the cloud or other peoples servers.

Youll need a password for the Wifi network, and youll find this on a label usually on the right-hand side of the inverter handily titled Wi-Fi Password!. Well, this post is not about features of Home Assistant and I wanted to cover few things I came across when I tried to integrate SolarEdge monitoring with HA. It's currently display that it's exported 0.1kWh but that's not showing on the graph yet (it displays in the animation and the table at the bottom).

I'll have to try it again sometime and see if I can get it to be stable.

Love podcasts or audiobooks? From: purcell-lab ***@***. SolarEdge Entities.pdf. It does NOT work over WiFi! For most people with a single-phase installation, you can immediately disable all of the three-phase entities, and Id argue that you probably dont need historical AC current or frequency data either.

So if we can get the last_reset attribute populated correctly for the daily data that the SolarEdge API outputs that should fix it.
The manual states the TCP Modbus only works on a direct LAN connection, not over Wifi though, I DID give it a shot anyway, but sadly, the manual appears to be correct on this count.
This system achieves a similar result to one that uses micro-inverters. Home assistant Component for reading data locally from Solaredge inverter through modbus TCP (by binsentsu), SolarEdge Modbus data collection library (by nmakel).
I can get the import utility meter added but for some reason the export meter is just not selectable in the UI? Conveniently though, I dont have enough space on my roof for that many solar panels so I couldnt make use of a bigger inverter anyway. Isn't modbus access limited to certain invertors?

This sounds a lot like the power meter I always have, which absolutely does provide this kind of information through the utility integration. You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.

The one issue I have with SolarEdge here though is that this panel-level data is *only* available via their app.
Added the following to configuration.yaml and then wait until both have updated at least once.

Anyway you can take the fix from my repo, enough to replace the newer file modified in your home-assistant component folder.
The text was updated successfully, but these errors were encountered: solaredge documentation I think I have a solution with no code changes, standard SolarEdge and using Utility Meter. cpuVersion: 4.12.35

Underneath the inverter is a toggle switch. I prefer to directly connect the inverter to Home Assistant over my local network.

Another option is using the HTTP interface accessed using SolarEdge local IP.
The integration itself works as expected and pulls in the information from the Solaredge API perfectly as it stands today.
to anyone using an solaredge inverter, I would recommend to use the "SolarEdge Modbus" in addition to the default solaredge integration. <. If you dont have a physical view in the app, contact SolarEdge support.

and Solaredge integration + Solaredge Modbus.
For me, the important entities here are the AC power and the AC Energy. With the SolarEdge and optimiser combination, you do still have the ability to monitor your system at a panel-level via the mySolarEdge app.
Per. Given that my system was installed by an installer, I contacted my installer and asked for API token.

Ive checked the API, there are a class for storage where charging and de-charging is present.
Although now come to think of it, since our power bills are ever 3 months I should change it to quaterly I guess, although I'm not sure if the offset will work to get it on the right day which the is always the 2nd of the month with the next quarter starting on the 2nd of September. Some screenshots from around the HA forums seem to suggest more than just the current and lifetime power, which is why Im hoping to be able to expose it elsewhere. x]U}]J BlBMy("i"QAcXeRGRPQiiL$a&f&Lx99_s}k0s>}B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B!B:<9vp0~w@XwzzQ#3W: *: + CB^<8~N| 'U?Hepw\|N-g5

I agree it's more useful, but my inverter only keeps the modbus-over-IP interface up for 2 minutes and only allows a single connection. I have the data displaying elsewhere just fine, but would be nice to integrate into the new dashboard properly. Same issue for me, the only available sensor is sensor.solaredge_lifetime_energy but it does not show any values in the energy dashboard while the sensor itselfs works fine. You can use the built-in SolarEdge integration if you like, but that is cloud-only and you are limited to an update once every 15 minutes. We also use third-party cookies that help us analyze and understand how you use this website.
It has data, it's working fine, but in the energy configuration drop down it's just not an option.
Sorry to bother you on Energy configuration I have still the same entities no way to get "Solar - House Consumption" as you have.. and I put yr suggestion on my configuration.yaml (and restarted 2 times) maybe I should wait 2-3 hours. As expected, with the last_reset set to 1970, at midnight when the import/export counters reset it caused a "blip", It also looks like you sometimes get a non zero value just after midnight from the SolarEdge API (sometimes it's close to zero, but sometimes it's about half the previous days total reading).
