The audience erupts at this and the reporters take notes. O Joo was all about you are not going to take me alive. However Lee Joon Gi brought his A game and made the series interesting. Keep in mind it has been several months since I watched Lawless Lawyer. Gang asks Sang Pil what happens if Judge Cha denies his claims and Sang Pil says that she will get a heavier sentence. If you want to watch an action-packed series with elements of humour and romance and that has a happy ending then I would highly recommend watching this series. It was unsatisfying that Oh Joo wimped out on taking responsibility by committing suicide. Thankfully the dalliance with noble idiocy didnt destroy them or drive me crazy. It was a great move from his side when he didnt allow Judge Cha to order a recess as the people would be mellowed down by then and wouldnt have caused an uproar. The action scenes are swift and a treat to watch while the trial scenes are gripping. Her true punishment will be when she realises that people wont dance to her tunes, now that she doesnt hold her power anymore. Everyone laughs. Jae Yis mother shows them a picture of a young Jae Yi. One by one the people in the audience get up and ask her to give an explanation and demand to know the truth. Ha Jae Yi (Seo Ye Ji) listens to Mrs. Nam admit she faked the attack to gain herself more time. Crime Lord / Judge Cha doubted the loyalty of Mrs Nam and Oh Joo , but counted on her minions to either cower to silence by threat (intent to harm or help Mrs Nams prosecutor daughter) or destruction of her minions credibility (Oh Joo and Mrs Nam ). Judge Cha declares she knows humans are ugly and as a judge shed helped the world by putting criminals away. They smile. Sang Pil counters that Judge Chas greed and hypocrisy created tragedy. LOL. I concur that Moon Seoks lack of remorse bothered me too, however the way Judge Cha had been portrayed, I DID NOT HAVE ANY EXPECTATIONS she would feel remorse; there was NEVER any remorse for ordering the hit o5n the child Sang Pil or his mom, who was supposedly Moon Seoks friend. I believe Crime Lord / Judge Cha thought she could manipulate a revenge-thirsty Sang Pil into eliminating her minions, who LITERALLY KNEW where the bodies were buried, to eliminate her past so NOTHING could impede her rise to the Supreme Court. He is amazing as he portrays the character, which requires him to constantly switch between being a brilliant lawyer, a skilled thug, a romantic lover and a determined avenger. The reporter agrees anxious to see Judge Cha go down. There is a long pause in which Mrs. Nam stares at Judge Cha, then she admits to the crime. Ja asks what happens if there is a witness but no evidence and Jae Yi says that a witness testimony serves as evidence. It seems like EVERY episode has had the Lawless Lawyer crew eating Subway sandwiches. KJT gave me the nickname of Justice Jane for my strong sense of justice, which was disappointed when Oh Joo chose suicide over taking responsibility for his actions. Sang Pil reminds the court the previous witness stated that a high-ranking official was named by the murdered masseuse. The humour aspects of the series are well blended into the main plotline and are a welcome change when the plot gets too serious. Jae Yi declares they will be busy. Then the moment Hyun Joo made her appearance, the trial should have been dismissed and the murder victim just made an appearance. Sang Pil tells Oh Ju that he cant die here and asks him to let the law punish him. He declares Mrs. Nam is a liar. Choi Min Soos brilliant portrayal of Ahn Oh Ju makes us hate Oh Ju and at the same time feel for him. In prison Mrs. Nam yells to Judge Cha that she should talk to her and not ignore her. Mrs. Nam demands to know if O Joo will testify. Outside the law firm Geum Gang and his men put up a mock show in front of a crowd on Soong Jas trial and they have dressed Judge Chas character like a clown. Sang Pil says he made her accountable to those she hurt over the years. She comments that she seems to be at the top his thoughts and he says that he has been watching her for many years now. forcing her as a judge to essentially preside over her own prosecution was a great story element Mrs. Nam confirms she knows this. Sang Pil reminds the court the Chief Prosecutor also provided documents detailing O Joos illegal campaign fund activities from an anonymous informant. Prosecutor Chun calls to them. Prosecutor Chun declares they will stamp out corruption in government. Geum Gang (Lim Ki Hong) tell them besmirch his beloved Subway with that kind of behavior. She drops her judicial robes and leaves the office. Her spin was that it was a hijacking of the trial to try to take blame off the defendant she initially ordered the testimony stricken from the record. Their story in the drama ended with Lee Joon Gi and Seo Ye Ji announcing that this is just their beginning that made the viewers couldnt helpt but to expect the second season. Writer Yoon nailed that line. Initially his instinct was to pursue seize revenge but he evolved and walked the path to achieve justice. Yeon Hee visits Soong Ja in prison and promises to start fresh. Oh Ju says that Sang Pils mother will feel pain when she looks at him from above. Tae Gwang Soo (Kim Byung Hee) gets flirty with Geum Gangs sister. Gwang Dong comments that due to Sang Pil getting the charges dropped, they dont have to smuggle themselves out of the country. Sang Pil walks in just then and stares at Soong Ja while Jae Yi asks him about Oh Ju. Especially using a clown wig for Judge Cha . She seriously believed that she could get away with it until Hyun Joo appeared. O Joo stands in the door way. Jae Yi points to a person at the back of the audience and says that this person is the proof. With the law! They fist bump as Cheon looks on smiling and they walk off. It does not look like he did not even seek any medical assistance after being stabbed . What Sang Pil and Jae Yi had done to her was stupid. She also asks Kyeong Jin to bring foreign reporters to cover the trial because they need outsiders so that truth isnt manipulated. He handcuffs Sang Pil to him and puts the gun to him. Choi Jin Ae says that Cha Moon Sook is her friend but accepts the pictures saying that it will eventually help her friend. She was certainly dismayed when she was truly caught. Judge Cha calls her lawyer to the stand. He claims that his team were having her under protection because of Judge Cha. However Lee Joon Gi brought his A game and made the series interesting. As Sang Pil and Jae Yi walk into the courtroom, they find reporter Yu Kyeong Jin and foreign reporters accompanying her. Judge Cha counters that shell control the trial. Kwang So and Geum Ja seem like a pair when they are socialising over lunch at Subway. Judge Cha relents. Sang Pil declares theyll punish those that hide behind power to take advantage of others. Both of them are in tears. Judge Cha Moon Sook (Cha Moon Sook) sits in chambers. Sang Pil declares that O Joo will testify. Seeing that she is cornered, Judge Cha gives a restrained smile. Cheon asks if Sang Pil will produce Hyun Joo in court and Sang Pil says that it will depend on Judge Chas reaction. Sang Pil tells Oh Ju that he has lived in pain for 18 years and he wont give in to the likes of Oh Ju. Sang Pil list people including his mother that O Joo murdered under Judge Chas orders. Im surprised that Judge Cha didnt keep Oh Joo from testifying. Jae Yi and Sang Pil walk out of the courthouse as Kwang So rushes over to them and tells them that Ahn Oh Ju had gotten away from the police during the transfer. He fights off secretary Kim (disarms and dislocates his arm), who manages to run away. Sang Pil then confronts Judge Cha and asks her if she had ordered the hit. He asks Oh Ju if this is true. Sang Pil smiles. The courtroom buzzes. Sang Pil confirms O Joo will testify. Sang Pil stares at the wall of evidence. They thank the reporters for coming and Sang Pil promises them a scoop and asks them to look forward to it. Judge Cha looks around her courtroom. Jae Yi says that this city needs a lawless lawyer too. Judge Cha was unyielding until the end no matter how much the case went against her.
